Make music for yourself and do not be afraid of failure, because all fail really means is your first attempt in learning. These are the words that South Port, NC artist DistricFour lives by. Having a divine intervention that pursued him to take a chance with himself and his dream, he finally invested in himself and his career and has never looked back.
In the 11th grade, Districfour started to experiment with music and those around him, seeing the potential he couldn’t encourage him to take it serious. Shortly after high school he moved to Dallas, Texas for film school. Still writing but not releasing any music, he took an apprenticeship under a major video producer. With the connection, he could network and work hand in hand with a lot of major artists. Doing some moving around to different states and soul searching was much needed before moving back home and realizing it was time to get serious with his craft again. In 2017, after the death of his grandfather and birth of his daughter, he crafted his song, “no new friends,” which became an outlet for all his emotions.
DistricFour is laying the foundation for his brand. Building his catalog and recording any chance he gets. Unapologetic on the music he creates, he knows it is most organic when you create for yourself. Although the world seems hug, music brings a connection amongst people. There is always someone sharing the same experience or emotion as you. DistricFour has a single with Euro Gotit that will release in 2020 entitled, S.N.
